Handgun Steel Plate Range

If you have never shot on reactive steel plate targets, you have missed out on the most entertaining way to enjoy your firearms.
Our Steel Range is the best place to enjoy your handguns. Steel targets are reactive. They fall, swing and ring loudly when you hit one giving you instant feedback.
All the plates that fall remotely reset so there is no reason to go forward of the firing line.
Our Handgun Steel Plate Range is the only one of its size and kind we are aware of.
All targets are made from a very hard steel called AR500. Its abrasion resistant and can't be hurt with standard handgun ammo. They just knock the paint off.
All standard handgun calibers with velocity under 1600 feet per second are permitted here.
Steel targets are safe to shoot when set up correctly and shot at a safe distance.
Each of the 20 shooting bays are nearly 8 feet wide, giving you and your group plenty of room to shoot together.
There are 162 plates on this range that get painted every morning so members have an awesome place to shoot at fresh plates.

Getting started We started at about 5 am doing the final prep to the foundation for the slab.	Started pouring concrete Then the trucks showed up and things got really busy.
Three loads were not enough Needed a little more to finish, had to wait for the last truck to get some more.	Slab's done
Wood's here They hate me at Home Depot. This pile of lumber took 3 hours to pull and an hour to load.	Going up Got it going up.
Its straight! Surprising to us, this thing ended up being square. Its straight. Amazing since we often have trouble cutting to boards and have them both be the same length.	Roof's on. Went with the good stuff, should last us a long time.
Long way to the end This thing is 150 feet from one end to another.	Seats and carpeted table tops Got plenty of room to set your stuff down or rest. All the table tops are 7 1/2 feet wide and covered with outdoor carpet.

Other half picture Here is the left or north end of the cover on the Steel Range.	New plates I pulled all the steel from the facility and placed it here and put new plates on the racks.
20 yard targets The left or south side has targets at 20 yards from the shooting area.	More plates I added several swinging gong plates under our racks. More is better.
More is better New plates on our Action Target plate racks with swingers underneath.	More is even better Can't have too many plates to shoot at. There are currently over 100 plates for centerfire handguns on the Steel Range with more coming.
More new plates	15 yard targets The middle of the Steel Range has the targets set up at 15 yards from the firing area.
10 yard targets The right side of the Steel Range has targets set up at 10 yards.	All finished... All done except for sealing the wood. I'll get to it eventually.
